Keynote Speaker and Schedule Announced for CareCON24 

ALBANY, GA – A keynote speaker and schedule has been announced for CareCON24, an event tailored specifically for those caring for individuals living with dementia. CareCON24 will take place Thursday, March 14, 2024, at the Sowega Council on Aging’s Regional Resource Center located at 335 W. Society Avenue in Albany. Registration deadline is March 7.

CareCON24 is a full day of learning designed specifically for caregivers for people living with dementia. Caregivers will receive more than just information. They will learn how to apply what they learn at the conference to their daily lives. SCOA, Alzheimer’s Outreach Center and the Alzheimer’s Association are partnering to host this event.

Registration for CareCON24 is available online only at Sowegacoa.org. The registration fee is $25 per person, which includes breakfast and lunch. Due to venue capacity constraints, registration is limited to 150 participants. Interested individuals are encouraged to secure their spot early to guarantee attendance. Registration deadline is March 7.

Betsy Broyles Arnold, CDP, CISM

Betsy’s passion is to provide caregivers with the necessary tools and game plan to give them confidence and hope during this season of their lives.

Betsy and her twin sister Linda were the primary caregivers for their mother who had Alzheimer’s. This experience changed Betsy and her family forever. After her mother passed, Betsy, sister Linda and their father, Coach Frank Broyles, were inspired to share the knowledge they gained with others. They produced the Coach Broyles’ Playbook for Alzheimer’s Caregivers. There are 1.2 million books in print, and it has been translated into 11 languages.

Over the last 15+ years of this mission, Betsy has devoted her life to helping caregivers. Betsy has traveled all over the United States giving more than 200 speeches to different organizations and appearing on more than 400 TV and radio shows, with a total reach exceeding 30 million households.
